priceRange Schema: What to Write
priceRange is free text: either dollar signs such as "$$", or a range such as "$10-25". Google's guide asks that it stay under 100 characters. Set yours under More details below.
Example details are filled in. Replace them with yours; the code updates as you type.
More details (optional)
Copy the cells, header row included, and paste here. Columns: name, street, city, state, zip, phone, url, hours. Tabs or commas both work.
Paste it into the page's <head>, then check it in Google's Rich Results Test.
Two ways to write it
| Style | Example | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Dollar signs | "$" to "$$$$" | Restaurants, shops, salons |
| A range | "$5-15" | A cafe where most orders cost $5 to $15 |
| A starting price | "From $89" | A service with a call-out fee |
This cafe writes "$5-15": a coffee is about $5 and a lunch about $15. It is a hint for readers, not a price list; actual prices belong in a menu or in Offer markup.
Questions
Is priceRange required?
No. Google's guide lists it as recommended. Leave the field empty and the generator leaves it out of the code.
Can I use another currency?
Yes; it is free text, so "€€" or "£10-20" are valid. Use what your customers read.
Why does my priceRange not show in search?
Google decides what to show. A value over 100 characters is ignored, so keep it short.
