How to Add Schema Markup in Wix

Make the block below. In the Wix editor, open the page's SEO settings, go to Advanced SEO, add a structured data markup, and paste the JSON. Publish and test it.

Script tags or not

The structured data field takes the JSON itself, from the first { to the last }. Leave out the <script> lines this generator wraps it in. If Wix shows an error, the most common cause is a script tag left in.

Wix adds some markup of its own for some page types. Test the page before and after, so there is only one LocalBusiness description and it says what yours says.

Add the block in Wix

  1. Copy the blockFill in your details here and click Copy code.
  2. Open the page's structured dataIn the editor, open the page's SEO settings, choose Advanced SEO, then Structured data markup, and add a new markup.
  3. Paste the JSON and publishPaste the part between the script tags, starting at the opening brace, then publish and check the live page in Google's Rich Results Test.
Structured data helps search engines read your business details. It does not promise a ranking or a rich result; Google decides what it shows.

Questions

Can I use Wix's Custom Code setting instead?

Yes; Custom Code in the site's settings takes the full block, script tags included, placed in the head. Check that your plan offers it.

Wix says the markup is invalid. Why?

Most often a script tag was pasted into the structured data field, or a quote was lost while copying. Copy the block again and paste only the JSON.

Do I need a block on every page?

Only on the page about the business or location: the home page for one location, or each location's page.
