Real Estate Schema Markup (RealEstateAgent)

A real estate office uses the RealEstateAgent type, a kind of LocalBusiness. Add the towns or neighborhoods you work in as areas served. The block below is filled in for an example office.

Example details are filled in. Replace them with yours; the code updates as you type.

The office, not the listings

This block describes the office: Example Realty, at 120 Main Street, open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and working in Springfield, Chatham and Rochester through areaServed. Homes for sale are a different matter; each listing page describes its home, and this block stays on the office or contact page.

An agent who works alone, with no office open to the public, can describe themselves with the Person type on their profile page instead.

Structured data helps search engines read your business details. It does not promise a ranking or a rich result; Google decides what it shows.

Questions

Should each agent at the office get a block?

The office gets the RealEstateAgent block. Individual agents' profile pages can use Person, with worksFor pointing at the office.

Can I list neighborhoods instead of towns?

Yes. areaServed takes any place name; this generator marks each as a City, which you can change to Place by hand for a neighborhood.

Do I need hours for a real estate office?

They are recommended, not required. Leave days closed or empty and they are left out.
